During spring I always love wearing bright colors. I have paired up a white blouse with a coral blazer and to top it off I’ve worn my coral wedges to make it pop even more. Project Hijab Unravelled

Hijab Unravelled is a project undertaken by Danielle Regout also known as DARE photography (on social media). This Dutch photographer documents and interprets what Hijab means to different women she happens to meet through work and travel. She feels its a discovery worth portraying and she plans to publish her photographs in a book and organise an exposition for the world to see. Danielle came to Coventry a couple of days. I was first skeptical when Shanita (from Whispers of Women :http://whispersofwomen.blogspot.co.uk/) told me about her and her project. But I am glad I decided to meet with Danielle. I think this project is a brilliant initiative by this ingenious photographer. Danielle introduced the project to me in detail and gave me a little back story. When I gave her my consent to be documented, she asked me about my life, ambitions and aspirations. The toughest question was when she…

Get to know Marah!

Ramad

Before I start OFFICIALLY blogging, I  need to let you all know who I am and why I am blogging! My name is Marah, I live in a small town in Kentucky born in Lexington, Kentucky. My dad is from Palestine and my mom is from Lebanon. I am a Muslim American, I also wear the hijab (headcovering) and before I started wearing it 9 months ago, I always used to think that to be a hijabi you couldn’t be fashionable but for me that’s not the case, I enjoy it more, because it challenges me because you have to know what colors will go together and what colors won’t go together. In my posts I’ll be showing you the way I like to pair my outfits together and the way I also make it look modest at the same time! Please subscribe for my posts!
